Privacy policy
Last updated: September 4, 2026. Ancre is a service operated by SOS Hub Canada, the controller under Quebec's Law 25 and Canada's PIPEDA.
What we collect
Identity and contact details of the holder and members (name, email, phone, country of residence), identity verification documents processed by Stripe Identity, company information (name, NEQ, legal form), forwarding addresses, payment data processed by Stripe (we never store card numbers).
Mail content: envelope photos, scans of documents opened at your request or under your rules, extracted metadata (sender, category, urgency, deadline), action log.
Why
To provide the registered office and mail service, meet the legal obligations of a registered office, prevent fraud, notify you, and bill you. Automated mail reading is used only to sort and summarize your items; it is checked by a team member and never used for advertising or to train a model.
Where and for how long
Data is hosted in Canada (Supabase, Canadian region) and encrypted at rest and in transit. Scans are kept for the life of the subscription plus 12 months unless you request deletion. Paper originals are kept for your plan's retention period, then securely destroyed with a certificate in the log.
Processors: Stripe (payment, identity), Resend (email), Anthropic (envelope classification, data not retained for training), carriers (Canada Post, Purolator, UPS, FedEx, DHL) for forwarding.
